Baby showers can be cute but creatively frustrating. Picture a wide ring of starry eyed friends unwrapping every ounce of tissue paper-packed goodness, only to find that someone has gifted a picture frame, a baby bib or a box of diapers…again.
No mensa points for you.
We asked two girls what they ended up giving their friend for a recent baby shower:
- “I bought her a Baby Sign Language book and cassette tape…I heard parents love them.” (okay, fair enough, but we think the baby may be signaling for new clothes…)
- “I bought my friend a diaper bag.” (boooooring. Please pass us that cappuccino so we can wake up from our REM cycle).
Plus points for you when you seek refuge in the cuteness of the Baby Bunch bouquets (www.babybunch.com). Each bouquet contains “buds” of baby clothes from a hat, socks, shirt, bib and onesie that will make expecting mom shriek like a kid at a Miley Cyrus concert.
Choose from organic bouquets, or pink and blue shades for the future boy or girl. If you’re expecting a kid of “unknown” gender, there’s provision for that too.
Because there’s nothing cuter than a dolled up kid (okay, maybe those baby seals… but that’s about it).
