How to Get a Luxurious Mani/Pedi at Home

by Charu Suri in Beauty Archives

I have to admit, there’s nothing more soothing than a great mani/pedi to counter your humdrum life. I’m talking about the boring tasks of opening emails, sifting through files, papers etc. etc. Isn’t the perfect antidote to sport nails that look like jewels?

But can you really afford to upkeep that mani/pedi each week by plunking down $35 to go to butter London?

What I do is to use a petroleum-free product like Lisa Hoffman’s Spa Bath Hand & Foot Butter, which goes on like cashmere on your skin and makes you forget you’re at home, not in some fancy castle with butlers waiting on you. Too many people are slathering on petroleum-based goodies on their skin, even though the slickness is quite welcoming, but remember that ORGANIC and NATURAL is always best. This cream uses natural shea butter and acai and grape seed oil.

Slather this cream on liberally, then cover your hands and feet with a plastic bag and place them in a moist hot towel for unequalled luxuriness. Yes — luxuriness (it’s a newly coined term).

Your cuticles will be baby soft and so will your skin and this product is PURRFECT for the winter months. The polish of your choice will glide on effortlessly like Oksana Baiul on ice.For $35, this is a jar that keeps giving and giving.

That’s good enough for a Perfect 10.

“like Oskana Baiul on ice ” Love it. Sounds like a must try. Shea butter and more shea butter could be my mantra, or at least one of them :)
