Giveaway: Patrick McMullan Pampers Glitterati during Fashion Week
Word has it that famed photog Patrick McMullan sent several Fashion Week Survival Kits to designers and celebs including Zac Posen, Diane Von Furstenberg, Lydia Hearst, Brooke Shields, Tim Gunn and Fern Mallis among 40 others.
People who are just simply too busy to even snack during fashion shows were sent deliveries from Nu-Kitchen, and beauty products from Darphin, SkinCeuticals, Stila, Anthony Logistics for Men, Elemis and Laura Mercier.
Even we don’t know what are the exact items that lie in this coveted “Survival Kit” but we’re giving this to one lucky reader who enters a comment below and tells us what he or she loves about Fashion Week.

Fashion week gives me a preview of the lastest trends. Since I can’t afford the real thing, I can at least get a good idea of whats new and whats in and out. Thanks for the ooportunity to win!
I love Fashion Week because it brings out all of the unique and gorgeous looks that I usually have only dreamed of. It turns NY into a star studded event - not for music, or acting, but for all things fashion, which is awesome and well deserved. I love seeing designers who have worked so hard on their designs and products get the recognition that they deserve!

I love the originality in Fashion Week. Sometimes I think, “Who on earth is going to wear that?” It’s like the models, fashion and make-up have been beamed down from Mars. Everything all comes together during Fashion Week.
I’m not too keen on the fashion itself, as I don’t have the body for the clothes and they aren’t normally practical but I like to see the makeup on models
Everything about fashion week is lovable to me; fresh designs, hair, makeup, accessories…all to inspire and guide us as we create our own style! When all is said and done, what is there NOT to love about fashion week?

Who couldn’t love Fashion Week? Designer duds to drool over? I love seeing what’s happening for the upcoming season and dreaming about wearing those glamorous gowns. Even though I could probably never buy runway style, I love seeing the trends and finding my favorite knock-offs and look-a-likes at more pocketbook-friendly stores.
I love fashion week because it’s just like Christmas… only it happens more than once a year! Each time the anticipation and excitement grows with the surprise of what’s new and next with fashion trends.
I love fashion week because we get to see all the celebrities in attendance and get a peak at the hot new trends!

I love Fashion Week for many reasons. Most of us cannot afford the runway clothes and accessories but we can sure get some ideas and incorporate them in our everyday wardrobe. It is true that fashion makes a comeback every few years (look at the leggins) and I see it as a challenge to review Fashion Week pictures and then go look in my closet for clothes I havent worn in awhile. I also enjoy different makeup looks and hairstyles- these are usually more affordable than clothes and can be easily duplicated at home

I love fashion week because it is like one big party. Everyone is wearing terrific clothes: from the models to the audience. There is the parties, the camarederie, the style, and everything fits together so well. Its about fashion and its also not about fashion, it is about the fantasy that you want to see.
I love Fashion Week, because I just absolutely L-O-V-E fashion & beauty! Just seeing all those beautiful clothes come down the runways & the intricate details, & upcoming trends–it’s just so exciting! And then the backstage coverage of how the makeup artists applied makeup & everything down to the model’s fingertips, I love it! I also enjoy seeing new & upcoming models get their chance to really make a name for themselves. It’s really nice to see.

Fashion week is hectic, fast, a juggling act, and improvising-not just backstage. It’s some of the best artists putting together a collection that articulates their emotions and personality; a statement. Art imitates life, but for fashion designers, art is life and the clothes their life’s work is on isn’t just a hanger, but a vivacious personality that puts forward their dreams like an ambassador-the models. Like human life, fashion is something of deep respect because it portrays the feelings, thought and effort that we all make every day. Fashion Week IS life, and some of the best parts of it-that is why I love it.

What I love most about Fashion Week is to see the creativity and vision of each designer and they inspire me to think outside the box to redefine my own unique sense of style. I love to take ideas from each of the designers showing at Fashion Week and incorporate what I love most from each one into selecting new additions to my own wardrobe based on what I feel best fits into my vision of how I see myself and also for the woman I want to evolve to be. Fashion Week represents individuality, glamour and hope that we can be the best that we want to be by always striving to put our best foot forward and we can dare to be different and that’s okay!
I think the best thing about Fashion Week is that I get to see how creative minds work. I am always amazed at the pairings of fabrics and the mixes of texture and color. I wish I had that talent, it really does awe me.

I LOVE Fasion Week; especially with all the on-line back-stage,behind-the scene stuff. I must say I spend quite a few minutes studying new hair and make-up styles and products. While I cannot afford the ‘haute couture’ presented, I enjoy the full-blown imagination of the designers and marvel at the models maintaining their balance in those shoes!
