Laura Mercier Debuts Lip Watercolors

by in Beauty Archives

Now imagine if you had a set of paints. And your lips were your canvas. And if Monet went wild with his selection of roses, pinks and plums…..

Voila: the Laura Mercier Lip Watercolors Palette, which is honestly one of my all time favorite lip palettes. The selection of beautiful lip stains are satin matte and easily blendable so you can tailor the perfect shade for your outfit. And the colors stay true, warm and gorgeous and do not dry the lips out!

Each compact contains a hydrating Lip Prep balm that conditions lips and creates a perfect canvas. The brush too is like using a paintbrush on your lips: it is pretty rigid and therefore feels as though you are using a precise, controlled paintbrush to apply color. Honestly, if this doesn’t feel like painting on a easel I don’t know what does!

The Cherry Crush (raspberry) gives a beautifully, almost bitten sort of shade without being too noticeable while the Woody Rose (brown mocha with rose cast, on extreme top right) is one of my favorites because of its bold attitude.

The compact retails for $48 at LauraMercier.com and comes in two versions: one for fair, and the other for medium shade lips.
