These four circles of jeweled eye color from Stila Cosmetics are truly a joy to behold and a little treasure to put in your pocketbook. This limited edition eyeshadow palette promises your eyes a “sequin-like” reflection, and delivers a subtle glitter (thank goodness not like the over the top, in your face glitter like some of the Christmas decorations) so you can actually bedazzle during work and evening hours.
Now, what you see is a subtle sheen, but my camera didn’t do an extremely good job of capturing all the glitter flecks everywhere so be warned they there will remind your eyeshadow a tad of subtle tinsel town.
Above, I’ve swatched the Rose Quartz shade. Below is the Amethyst shade.
There are four shades in the palette (obviously) and these are:
Rose Quartz: light pink with silver sparkle
Amethyst: grey eggplant with champagne sparkle
Black Diamond: black with silver sparkle
Golden Topaz: champagne shimmer with silver and gold sparkle
These shadows are definitely dressy, but not in a MAC Cosmetics’ Magic Mirth and Mischief way. The sparkles are prudent and gentle and I love experimenting, layering and wetting my brush to apply the eyeshadow for a denser, more highly pigmented effect.
