Last evening, I went to the Shizuka New York Day Spa to get a Swarovkski Crystal Mani. I had not really heard too much about this salon apart from the fact that it had started the infamous “bird poop” facial. Enough said.
The mani, which costs $45, involves a basic manicure with a hand massage and some Swarovski crystals applied to my nails. Here’s a look with the Blue India Nail Lacquer from the MAC Liberty of London collection. This dark green blue shade has a pearly, creamy finish and is simply sick!
I am waiting to see how long the crystals will last and will keep you posted. My lovely nail aesthetician assured me that even though she applied it with a top coat and then sealed it, it would last as long as a regular mani. So far…so good.
What do you think? Could you rock this shade?

From Joy Doyin:
Love it! This color is to die for..
From SilhouetteScreams:
Thats such a pretty colour
plus, I love that the spa’s name translates to ‘Quiet’ or ‘Silence’. Very fitting.
From carinaeletoile:
Looks fab on you. Although I’d say it is more a grey blue tone than dark green. I have it on me right now and I’ll be putting a swatch up tomorrow or Monday.
I love the color and am thinking about getting a back-up bottle! It’s so gorgeous. I can’t seem to get enough of it!
I wasn’t fond of the white shade they had that was released…have you tried Imperial Splendour? I think it would look good on you.
Hm. Must look at your other entries now.

From Charu Suri:
Carinae, didn’t try the white shade- I am not fond of white on my nails, it looks too 80s and cheap. This blue/gray shade is really spot on, trend wise. Can’t wait to hear what you think of Imperial Splendour, so do share!
From Amanda:
I love this shade of blue…too bad it’s sold out online and at my MAC counter!
From Charu Suri:
Amanda- so sorry to hear its sold out! Such a terrific blue. Have you tried Barielle’s Spring Wildflower collection? Seriously, the blue is quite similar. we wrote about it a while ago.
