Ever since I heard the words Wild Rose Lip Butter, I latched onto Korres like a towtruck. When you look at their products, you’ll see ingredients like Quercetin, Oak, Wild Rose, Rice Bran….
You’ll never see anything noxious and synthetic, and thank all the wildflowers in Canada for that! From herbs to botanicals, this Greek company has plucked the best of the Materia Herba and bottled it for your skin, hair and makeup needs.
This past weekend, I did my makeup using five Korres products: the Wild Rose Foundation, Wild Rose Compact Powder, Pomegranate Lip Butter, Cherry Lip Gloss and Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara.
To get a clean and flawless foundation, I layered my face with a primer, then used the liquid Korres Wild Rose Long-Lasting Foundation ($30) all over my face, including my eyelids. The oil-free liquid foundation is extremely light and wears lightly on your skin. It pretty much covers every flaw (especially acne scars and pock marks) and also offers the notable sun protection. In short, it’s a liquid foundation to cherish because it also is clinically proven to diminish hyper pigmentation and wrinkles while improving skin’s hydration.
After applying the foundation, I used the Wild Rose Compact Powder ($28) which has a silky finish. This is like the sealant to your makeup routine, and it too improves hyper pigmentation.
I used the Rice Bran Mascara ($18) on my lashes, and the Cherry Lipgloss and Pomegranate Lip Butter on my lips to complete the look.
A tip for achieving this look: put the Pomegranate Lip Butter on first, then the lip gloss. Also, use a primer for your eye lashes before applying two coats of mascara. There, it’s easy, even a child can do it!
The makeup held absolutely beautifully throughout the day and the lip gloss and lip butters – I have no WORDS. They’re that good.
