Charu Suri, Founder & EIC
Charu is a passionate travel journalist and blogger. She started traveling when she was three years old and has visited over 15 countries and has a case of restless legs. She has hosted several travel events and tweetups, and loves the blogging community, her virtual "home away from home." She started Butterflydiary as a general travel blog, to document her trips and tips with candid photos and experiences.

Charu often travels with her husband and photographer (you'll find a lot of his photos on the blog), Matthew Minucci. Inseparable sweethearts and they've been married over 10 years and counting!
She is also committed to enabling everyone to travel, and has started her own weekend tour company, SensoryTravelNetwork.com, for Special Needs kids and adults. As a child, she exhibited severely autistic traits, and practiced the piano incessantly for 9-10 hours a day, doing little else. Travel has helped her come out of her shell and her mission is to enable and inspire everyone to travel.
Charu's work has appeared in U.S. Airways Magazine, USA Today, The Huffington Post and other publications. Follow her adventures on Twitter. She is currently working on a book about her life and travels.
