Bath and Body Works – Winter Cordials

Bath and Body Works – Winter Cordials

I love flavored lip products! As a kid you could not separate me from my Lip Smackers – they went everywhere I went. Now I’ve found a grown up version -Winter Cordials by Bath and Body Works and C.O. Bigelow are flavored to taste like your favorite holiday drinks. The delicious flavors are:

cob-winter-cordials

Triple Hot Chocolate $7.50

Warm Spiced Cider $7.50

Vanilla Cream Eggnog $7.50

Hot Buttered Rum $7.50

Mini Mentha Frosty trio $10.00 – Spearmint, Cinnamint and Peppermint flavors

All of the flavors are incredibly sweet and have a hint of mint. I can’t decide if my favorite is Warm Spiced Cider or Hot Buttered Rum – I guess I’ll just have to use both.

Unlike my Lip Smackers which were mostly for flavor – the Winter Cordials give you a hint of shimmer and shine – so I can have a sweet and shiny pucker.

Twilight Woods Scent from Bath & Body Works

Twilight Woods Scent from Bath & Body Works

If you like musk and are into the sensual side of life then this really is the scent for you. The Twilight Woods scent from Bath & Body Works is romantic (heck, with a name of “Twilight” it had better be, right?).

The feminine fragrance has bright flowers, surprising spices and creamy woods with a touch of cashmere. The aim was to bottle the experience of a twilight stroll.

twilight woods

This scent is actually part of the Signature collection at Bath & Body Works (the Signature Scents are a best kept secret and feature prestige ingredients for much less than prestige brands). The perfume was developed by Firmenich master perfumers who wanted to blend fruity with woodsy. The top note is a juicy cocktail of sparkling fruit and creamy white flowers.

Top Notes: Juicy Berry, Sparkling Mandarin, hint of Coconut.

Mid Notes: Creamy Frangipani, Soft mimosa, wet honeysuckle, wild freesia, apricot nectar

Dry Notes: Oud Wood, Must, Orris, Vanilla Musk, Warm Woods

I usually wear this on date night and when I take in a movie with my hubby because it feels rich yet naughty. This is not for the faint of heart or the Betty Draper in you….wear it like Marilyn in Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend and you’ll make many a head (and nose) turn.

Bath & Body Works Twilight Woods collection: Eau de Toilette ($29.50); Body Lotion ($10.50); Body Butter ($15); Shower Gel ($10.50); Shower Cream ($12); Fragrance Mist ($12); Bubble Bath ($12); Body Cream ($12); Hand Cream ($10); limited edition Roller Ball EDT ($7.50).

ps-i-love-you-bath & body works

My take on this fragrance: it does smell very feminine with some edge to it. That’s probably the must and exotic incense I detect, and these notes helped the scent last a long time on my skin. The great thing about Bath & Body Works is the range of products allows for plenty of layering (shower with the gel first, put the lotion second, then apply the EDT to make the scent last forever and a day).

My husband definitely noticed the scent and I was happily mid way through my sunny day when I realized I could still smell the perfume. Which is a big plus considering most of the fragrance I try is merely a whisper by 3:00pm.

Patricia Wexler’s Tinted Moisturizer for Summer

Patricia Wexler’s Tinted Moisturizer for Summer

Looking for even skin tone but hate the weight of foundation? Tinted moisturizer is the answer to your prayers. We’ve been devout fans ever since discovering its ability to even out our blotchy skin tone under makeup.

Patricia Wexler Tinted Moisturizer

Patricia Wexler, known as the dermatological wonder doctor, created the Daily Defense Anti-Oxidant Tinted Moisturizer as a fail-proof skin treatment that improves the quality and appearance of your skin. Not only does it fill in visible pores and banish red spots, but it’s SPF 30, which means you don’t have to apply a separate layer of greasy sunscreen to avoid getting burned. We applied a coating of the tinted moisturizer on our skincare volunteer Kristen (pictured) before she headed off to play tennis in the brutal August sun.

Her face appeared even-toned and vibrant, and an acquaintance even commented about her glowing skin. Her only complaints were that it feels a little strange during periods of heavy sweating on the tennis court, and smelled a little bit like sun block. But Kristen also says that overall, she will never head out on the town without the tinted moisturizer on. Finally, another convert!

Only $29.50 at Bath & Body Works.
